Baldur’s Gate 3 voice actor and performance director Aliona Baranova thinks Hollywood is seriously sleeping on video game talent whenever they roll out film or TV adaptations. Speaking at FanX Tampa Bay, she pointed out that despite huge, dedicated fanbases boosting every project’s success, game actors hardly ever get a look-in when studios cast their big screen versions.
Baranova calls it “a shame” that filmmakers ignore the people who breathe life into these virtual worlds. Her plea? Tap into that passionate community and give video game performers the starring roles they’ve earned.
