Battlefield 6’s open beta has blasted off with over 314,000 peak players on Steam alone (not counting PS5, Xbox Series X|S and the EA App crowd), but all that traffic has led to some matchmaking hiccups. DICE’s using server queues to throttle demand and is “substantially increasing” capacity—meanwhile, a quick client restart seems to be the MVP for anyone stuck in limbo.
On the feedback front, players are calling shotguns absurdly powerful and the studio says it’s digging into weapon-balance tweaks ahead of October’s launch. If you haven’t jumped in yet, early access codes are still floating around via Twitch drops or by signing up for Battlefield Labs before July 31—and EA Play Pro members can dive in right now.
