Pokemon Legends: Z-A shakes up the franchise by bringing its classic turn-based combat into real time, letting you dodge, strike and switch on the fly. Battles feel surprisingly smooth and inject a fresh rush of adrenaline into every encounter.
Unfortunately, the game’s visuals and overall presentation don’t quite live up to the hype. Textures often look muddy, animations can be stiff, and the world design lacks the polish you’d expect from a flagship Pokémon title.
