Elden Ring Tarnished Edition on Switch 2 is rough in handheld mode. Performance in open areas like Limgrave suffers from major frame-rate drops whenever you turn the camera, making exploration choppy and punishing.
On top of that, the new button layout is confusing, and Bandai Namco has barred any gameplay recordings at the booth—probably to hide just how rough it looks. With its 2025 release date, here’s hoping they polish it up before launch.
