Grounded 2’s Early Access launch on PC (and Xbox Series X|S) shows Obsidian firing on all cylinders: the story, exploration and RPG systems are bigger than ever, and the introduction of mountable insect pets completely transforms how you navigate the backyard battlefield. It’s rough around the edges (bugs, sketchy performance and base‐building that needs work), but the core adventure already shines.
There’s plenty more to add—new enemies, memorable biomes and a sturdier building toolkit—but even in this early state, Grounded 2 feels like the true evolution of its humble, mighty predecessor.
