Why Xbox Can’t Give Up on Hardware
Xbox just weathered a storm of price hikes—first Game Pass Ultimate, then the hardware itself—and fans weren’t shy about unsubscribing (and crashing the site in the process). Despite the backlash, Microsoft’s trio of Daemon, Max, and Ryan argue that you can’t build a lasting ecosystem without fresh, next-gen machines to anchor it.
The real challenge now is fixing Game Pass. With subscribers on edge, Microsoft needs to sweeten the service—think better exclusives, smoother onboarding, and maybe even a rollback on fees—to keep people hooked while they wait for the next Xbox to arrive.
