Itch.io is re-indexing all free adult NSFW content as it shops around for payment processors that won’t freak out over explicit material. After Stripe refused to handle anything “designed for sexual gratification,” the platform told creators to tick a “no payments” box to get back into search results and set up a fresh content‐warning system (think “contains sensitive material,” plus tags like “porn” and “fetish”).
Paid adult titles will return “slowly” once Itch secures a processor cool with adult art. This move follows last week’s mass de-indexing—sparked by an Aussie pressure group—and joins Valve’s recent NSFW reshuffle on Steam. For all the nitty-gritty, creators can check out Itch.io’s re-indexing guide.
