Microsoft concedes that The Outer Worlds 2 was too expensive | Windows Central

Microsoft’s surprise $79.99 tag for The Outer Worlds 2 has officially been scrapped: after a wave of backlash (and even the game’s director calling out the steep price), Xbox and Obsidian confirmed the title—and all their big holiday releases—will stick to the industry-standard $69.99.

Already pre-ordered at $79.99? You’ll need to nab a refund from your retailer (some are issuing them today, others tomorrow). Microsoft also says the rollback will hit the UK and EU in the next few days.
